How do I get a quote?: Simply create an account and upload your files. Once Tethras has finished processing your files select the languages you want and a quote will be instantly generated for you.

Are there any signup or recurring fees?: No! There are no sign-up fees, no membership renewals or any other sneaky hidden extras. All you pay for are the translations you purchase.

What if I am tight on time?: If you need your translations quickly contact us and we will do everything possible to speed things up.

What payment types and currencies do you accept?: All payments are made in US Dollars through PayPal. Full payment is made on purchase of translations.

Is there a minimum purchase price?: Yes, there is a minimum cost of $4.99 per language.

Do you charge the same word rate for all languages?: The majority of our languages are charged at the same word rate. However, Danish, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, along with Armenian and Japanese, do not have a Basic tier option. Also, English dialects are at a lower word rate: Basic at $0.08, Professional at $0.12, Ultra at $0.16, and Specialist at $0.20.

Do I need to pay VAT for the purchase?: No you don't, but if you need a VAT invoice, contact us and we will issue one for you.

What languages do you support?: We translate from English into: Arabic, Bengali, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Danish, English (AU), English (CA), English (UK), Finnish, French, French (Canada), German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Malay, Malayalam, Marathi, Norwegian (Bokmål), Oriya, Polish, Romanian, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Punjabi, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Mexico), Swedish, Tamil (India), Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese.

What if my source files are not in English?: No problem - just upload your files here and we will take a look and get back to you with a quote. We advise you to translate the source into English first, and then use the English files to translate into any other necessary languages.

How long will it take to translate my app?: This very much depends on the size of the app, the purchase level and the number of languages. Some languages will be quicker and some can be slower depending on the translator availability. For more accurate estimate please contact us.

What level should I choose?: We generally recommend Professional Level for most apps. If you have any difficulty in choosing the levels which best fits your project please contact us.

Can I choose different translation levels for different files?: Yes. You can translate your files at different levels so that you get the best mix of price and quality.

If I add some strings to a file that has already been translated do I have to pay for everything to be translated again?: You will only be charged for translation of the new content. When you add new files to a project, we search through your translation memory to find previously translated strings and populate them into your project. This process is called leveraging and means that you don't have to pay for translating the same string twice.
Note: Leveraging only works on exact string match. If you have changed anything in a string it will not be leveraged.

Will I be charged for symbols?: You won't be charged for any punctuation symbols, but if you have any bullets, currency symbols or pictograms in your app we will charge them as words. This is because the translators might need to change, position, or add a non-breaking space between these symbols.
For example the ✓ sign in English means 'OK', but in Finnish it means 'wrong', while in Japanese, Chinese and Korean it is just not perceived as 'OK' in general. So if your app contains any ✓ symbols, the translator will need to convert them to ·/· for Finnish and to ◯ for Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
